The best laid plans...
So, we didn't make it up to the cottage for New Year...
A few minutes after leaving, I realised that the car wasn't handling properly, and it turned out to be a very fast leak or a slow puncture. Either way, I had a deflated tyre, and a car full of pets, luggage on an icy motorway.
To cut a long story short, the tyre couldn't be fixed, and if I changed the wheel I wouldn't have a spare, and 90 miles to drive over some very interesting roads.
So rather than get into a whole stressful attempt to go north, we came back to the flat and settled in here instead. I think it was a good call. It does make it the first time in 10 years I haven't brought in the New Year in Ardrishaig, but it did let us have a much more chilled time of it. Good food, good wine, and a dram of Infinity 3.1 for the Bells.
