State of the Me
Well, currently the state of me is that I'm stuffed with wine, Chinese food and chocolate, and I'm watching the first disk of The Two Towers.
I used the Bank Holiday weekend to spend four days in Ireland, far enough from anywhere that I had no internet, and didn't switch on a TV or a radio (except to watch the hurling on Sunday - after all, there are some things that need to be done).
It was a very good four days, and it's swung me a bit more towards stability. Despite the bad leg, I climbed hills, scrambled over cairns, and rambled around Dublin yesterday. A few things seemed different from my last visit. Houses, in the country-side, are bigger, and set in more land. Cycling has really taken off, with the roads and hills almost teeming with racing bikes. And there are some things which are the same. Friendliness, fresh air, stone walls, and the grass is green (as the Saw Doctors used to sing).
I worked from ome today, and picked up my extremely well groomed cat from the work friend who minded her. Now I should take myself off to bed, and get myself into work early tomorrow.
These continue to be interesting times...
