What's the point not drinking if you're still going to feel like shit the next day?

Maybe it was a dodgy curry, or maybe my egg roll was underdone, but I'm feeling distinctly dodgy this morning. I feel like the the odds are as high as 50/50 that I'll vomit midway through any given conversation.

Dilemma is: do I head for the cottage, 90 miles away where there is no one but me, or 150 miles back down to Newcastle to be in the bosom of family? At the moment I'm thinking of option 3, which is curl up beneath the desk...

Poor you, much sympathy and gentle hugs.

Where would you like to be?

Okay, let me narrow it down a little.

Where would you like to be that you can realistically get to?

Under the desk. Now breathing shallowly - might head out in search of medicine.

I vote for chemist, water and a later decision as to travel.

And, of course, sympathies. (The thought etc etc!)

Yeh, yeh, give us deh fooking droogs...

Sounds like a plan.

I have a task here I want to finish, so we'll see.

Personally, I'd make myself vomit to get rid of the sicky feeling. Preferably in the toilet rather than at your desk.

I've never really got into the whole casual vomit thing. I tend to spend fifteen minutes calling god on the big white telephone.

I also sometimes get little pinprick haemorages in my eyes, which look very scary...

Ok, scrap that idea...

I have done, but thanks for the suggestion ;-)

if you are having trouble, stick your index and middle finger right down your throat. Never fails.

See, practical advice, that's what I need. But the problem isn't starting, it's giving up.

Poor you. Lots of sympathies.

I'd recommend going back home to your family if you have the strength to travel that far.

Getting closer to that conclusion. Had a dry roll, and now I'm scribing a meeting...

Depending on if you are the sort that doesn't mind people around when you are sick or not... me, I want at least one person around, just in case I pass out, I won't drown with my head in the toilet...

[identity profile] f4f3.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Och, that would have a sort of seedy glamour to it....

You know, I'd seriously been on the early warning system for a Migraine if I were you....
