What part of "Celtic" means jazz?
Jan. 28th, 2009 11:24 pmJust back from some more gigging and a nice meal - we went to Gandolfi's new-ish offshoot, Gandolfi Fish, and had, well, fish. Good fish, sensibly priced, in a nice environment. It didn't knock my socks off, but then we were ordering from the pre-theatre.
My socks were knocked off a bit later by Christine Tobin playing at the Tron. A wonderful voice, and a great band. I was espescially taken with the cello player and the percussionist.
unblinkered is fairly sure they were taken with each other, but she's just a born romantic.
As usual when I hear a new, good voice, I started casting songs for her. Tom Wait's $29, I think, and Warren Zevon's "Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me" I think...
