Id quot circumiret, circumveniat.

Calliope, Muse of epic poetry
You are 'Latin'. Even among obsolete skills, the
tongue of the ancient Romans is a real
anachronism. With its profusion of different
cases and conjugations, Latin is more than a
language; it is a whole different way of
thinking about things.

You are very classy, meaning that you value the
classics. You value old things, good things
which have stood the test of time. You value
things which have been proven worthy and
valuable, even if no one else these days sees
them that way. Your life is touched by a
certain 'pietas', or piety; perhaps you are
even a Stoic. Nonetheless, you have a certain
fascination with the grotesque and the profane.
Also, the modern world rejects you like a bad
transplant. Your problem is that Latin has
been obsolete for a long time.

For a boy from Maryhill, you're pretty classy indeed!

I have hidden shallows...

they seem to keep picking up on the diplomat theme!

You are 'French'. In the nineteenth century, it
was the international language of diplomacy.
It is a 'beautiful' language, meaning that it
is really just a low-fidelity copy of Latin.

You know the importance of communicating
'diplomatically', which for you means both
being polite and friendly when necessary and
using sophisticated, vicious sarcasm when
appropriate. Your life is guided by either
existentialism or nihilism, depending on the
weather. You have a certain appreciation for
the finer things in life, which is a diplomatic
way of saying that you are a disgusting
hedonist. Your problem is that French has been
obsolete for a long time.

Hedonism is good...

is the latin saying what goes around, comes around?

Give the lady a ceegar....

I was about to reply to this and say 'they've got you bang to rights', and then I thought I'd better do it first.

Hmmm.

Aha, and now I have to look at your journal to find out what you are... If I had to guess, though, you'd be punting on the Tiber...

[identity profile] widgetfox.livejournal.com 2005-11-17 11:48 am (UTC)(link)
No.

Someone would be punting me on the Tiber. Hello!

My icon is scared of your icon.

I thought they made a lovely couple. You must understand that Merlin is regularly groomed by Anna, and he's amazingly tolerant, espescially when she's standing on her hind legs to groom his face, with her claws on his nose and near his eyes.

Yes, but he has mad staring red eyes. Woskar won't get much beyond that.

Look, it's a perfectly normal syndrome for Devil-Dogs. Nothing to worry about at all.
