This was another strange week, since I was down in Newcastle on Monday (results of blood test - sugars fine (6.1) lipids fine, cholesterol fine, weight down about 5 pounds since last appointment, blood pressure up 20 points since last week! Go figure...), but I did try to get back in to my routine, so:

Tuesday lunchtime, One hour badminton,
Tuesday night, quick session, so 5 minutes bike, 20 minutes x-trainer, 5 minutes bike
Wednesday morning, 10 minutes bike, 30 minutes x-trainer, 5 minutes bike
Wednesday night, 1.5 hours writing (mental exercise counts!) 10 minutes bike, 40 minutes x-trainer, 10 minutes bike, half an hour yoga
Thursday Morning, 5 minutes bike, 20 minutes x-trainer, 5 minutes bike, 10 minutes in the spa (it was bloody cold!)
Thursday night, four frames of ten pin bowling (not sure that this counts, but my arm was sore afterwards so I suppose it does)
Friday morning, 5 minutes bike, 25 minutes x-trainer (should have been 15, but a Billy Connelly track came on the Shuffle and I had to listen all the way through) warm down in the pool and then 10 minutes in the spa again (it's even bloody colder!).

When I started off at the gym about a month ago I wrote that I would try to fake it until I could make it - the last two mornings have been below freezing, and I still got up at 6 to hit the gym, so it looks as if the gym habit is embedded now. If I can keep my work life stable I should be able to keep it up. Yay me. State of the nation is that I do feel better for it, and other people are seeing a difference in me, even if I don't. The diabetes seems under control, even if the blood pressure isn't, and I've got another doctor's appointment in a month. I'll be interested see how I am then.
