Weird Monday (Most peculiar)

Due to my allergy to travelling on my own time, I'll be driving up to Aberdeen from Newcastle tomorrow.

Being paid to drive 250 miles - now I only have to plan my route, make sure I have a driving mix on the Shuffle, and decide where to stop for lunch.

Life is hard...

Well - I hope you're checking the weather forecast, as it's showing those lovely little snowflakes, all the way up the east coast!

I hope you're getting mileage for this as well!!!

Of course I'm getting mileage! 30p per mile, which in Scooby, should just about cover the petrol...

Haven't decided whether to leave early or spend the morning working on a presentation then head up.

Hmmm - I suppose it depends on how long you think it'll take to get up there... and whether you can get somewhere to work on your presentation when you get to Aberdeen.

...and the fact that it's just started blizzarding down in Newcastle!
Give me a buzz if you can with real-time Aberdeen weather update!

If it's 30p per mile, don't forget the tax claim on the 10p per mile AMAP they're not paying you!

Have a nice journey - the snow for me this morning was as I came south - Glasgow was fine...

Ironically (or something) the worst snow for me was within 5 miles of home - Aberdeen is fine.

Just spent an hour arguing over expenses, since my boss doesn't want to pay me for 400 miles at 40p per mile, and I'm dammed if I'm going to let him away with it.

I can feel the words "It's not the money, it's the principle" trembling on my tongue, and I must resist them at all costs, since as we all know these are the words every lawyer prays he will hear from his client...
