12/15 in the Guardian quiz, thrown by rivers yet again. And no, they weren't three members of the Brittish Bobsleigh Team. And I'm sure I knew that thing about the Hyoid bone once upon a time.

If anyone is vaguely interested in where I'm from, there's an extremely dark but extremely accurate movie called "Red Road" on BBC2 at 11.10 tonight. When I was at university I used to give directions from there to my house starting with "Turn left at the burning skip."

Off to Otter Ferry for a walk soon...

Ooh ooh I know a thing about that! Let me stun you with my fact! It is usually broken in strangulation victims (I watch a LOT of CSI.)

It is a good fact though isn't it? :) Tell me another so I may know two facts about it to bore people with!

Fantastic score - I had my doubts about the eater, since Guiness doesn't accept world records in that category anymore, but I'm glad I thought of it.

It's the only bone in the body not articulated with another bone. So now you know :)

Ah, directions!

There was the meeting at school that involved a number of people, including the principal, myself and my husband, and she was trying to figure out just where it was we lived.

We go straight past the zebras and then turn left at the end of the road to get home. She turns right at the zebras and lives down that way.

Everyone else in the room was just looking at us as if the three of us had lost it.

(Local farmer has gone from cattle & cutting horses to selling off land a bit at a time to developers and keeping African animals on the part he intends to keep. The zebras are the most impressive animals of the lot. There's nothing quite like seeing 3 zebras silhouetted against the sky just after the sun has set....)
