If they sing THAT song, I'm leaving...

We've been given a last minute-ish tickets for the Proms in the Park tonight, so I'm off in 20 minutes or so to hop on the Underground.
I'll be really interested to see if "Land of Hope and Glory" gets played - I associate that sort of stuff so closely with England that I'm not sure how I'll feel about it getting sung at Glasgow Green (where Bonnie Prince Charlie's troops drilled, before marching on London).
Still, picnic packed, wine chilled, and cheeses ponging out the place. A working class hero is something to be...

As a song you may prefer says "those days are gone now, and in the past they must remain", but I very much doubt the running order will be the same as the London based event....

It'll be interesting to see what they choose instead though.

Well, it sounds like a great evening, but should the worst happen, you can always sing along, ala Tim Brooke-Taylor from the Goodies. ;)

Have a ball!

We did!
And I always see Timbo in that union jacket waistcoat :)

(where Bonnie Prince Charlie's troops drilled, before marching on London).

Maybe they could play something poncey and French instead?

Yeah, because the masculine Germanic thing never gets old...
