Just clicked on someone's user name, to see that he hasn't posted here since 2012, and, presumably, his account will disappear shortly. Which led me to think of all the others here, who I know as names and avatars, and not in RL, and how, when their accounts go, so will they, from my life.

A petite mort, to be sure, but a death all the same. I don't want to go losing people, not any more.

Yes. I've managed to hold onto most people via Facebook, but inevitably something else will replace that in due course and it'll be another set of losses. I know life is a series of meetings and partings (as Kermit says in A Muppets' Christmas Carol'), but it's still sad.
