Yes, I know it's Filk, not Fan-fic, but I've been stuck with this in my head all day
A Brown Coat I meet walks up our street
He’s a worker for the Alliance
Has been twenty years
And he takes no lip off nobody
And cargo out the gutter
Puts it in his hold
And never seems to mutter
And he packs his hold with junk and scrap
The Alliance call him bogie
He never lets on
But I know ’cause he once told me
He let me know a secret about the money in his kitty

Gonna call her S’renity

Through planetoids and worlds
I’ll be smuggling waifs and strays

I useed to do those, back in the day. I remember one about a Dept of Employment weekend retreat (booze-up) based on Prince's "Raspberry Beret". Gawd, it was so long ago, I sent it to the other offices via telex!

The Firefly thing is well worth doing, although you have to have a longer attention span than the average TV viewer and give it 3 or 4 episodes to grow on you. Luckily the box set is dirt cheap on Amazon (about £12).
