I Am A God of the Greesward!

Just shot an 84 around Lochgilphead golf course, a matter of little import to the rest of the world but my best ever round by miles! I'd hoped to break 90 for the first time in ages, but that was a damn fine round. The last time I played that course I gave up counting after I lost my sixth ball.

Fear my Boom-stick!

All this extra practice is definitely paying off!

Maybe I should practice more :)

For a change all the stuff that was working on the range started working on the course - I did play 27 holes yesterday though...

I did they 9 hole course and it was a bit wierd. (Every other hole was ok) and I got 2 x 4... I think if I have not played for a while, I need to goto the driving range first, even if just for a small basket of balls before heading out to the course. I had a few really good shots - I experimented with the looking at the grass behind the ball, and also closing your eyes and taking the shot. On these ones, I couldn't see where the ball had gone, and when I eventually found them, they had gone over 120yds (which for me is very good!)

The closing your eyes thing scares me, but one of my friends used to do it and she did ok.

It only scared me at the prospect of losing one of my pink balls!

I saw the most amazing course yesterday - St Medan. Billed as Scotland's most southerly. The ladies championship was on yesterday.

No, boom-stick.

No birch trees were hurt in the making of my driver.
