Almost watched the inaugural showing of Lost in Translation last night, but was sucked into Tribe instead, which meant that I spent most of the evening pondering whether Bruce Parry has a tattoo on his left buttock or if it was a splodge of mud.

Film Four has a lot to live up to!

Jury is still out. Googling for Bruce Parry Buttock didn't achieve anything.

I was and it didn't! Nothing at all. Seems the rest of the world doesn't share my obsession with BP's arse.

Hmm, I can feel an icon creating moment coming on...

As with all such lists, odd. The Shawshank Redemption is actually not bad at all but then I quite liked Sexy Beast so maybe I'm no guide at all to what you might enjoy. You haven't missed a whole lot in Lagaan either. It has its moments but it's 90% standard Bollywood.

Well, I've got a lot of time for standard Bollywood...

I remember watching Walkabout on telly, and waiting for years till my family went to bed. Phwoar.

Although, how can you not like Black Narcissus? It's hilarious.

There's something about that Nic Roeg arthouse classic that just appealed to my adolescent sensibilities. What could it have been? His playful use of the cinematic language? The stunning beauty of the Australian Outback? Jenny gradually losing that school uniform? Nope, just can't put my finger on it...
