Hammersmith Apollo is a very wierd venue. I saw the Finn Brothers there last year, and someone actually shouted the question "can we stand up?" to Neil on stage - very bizarre.

The thing is that the floor slopes from the back, as per normal, which is fine when they are seats in, but when not, it is a killer on your knees! I think for the gigs where an "older" audience is expected, they put in the seats - either that, or it was a gig slotted in with something like Billy Connolly.

Well, the company was great at Hammersmith, but the crowd was very quiet.

My first experience of Steve was at the Barrowlands in Glasgow: I swear, during Copperhead the sprung wooden floor must have bowed by six inches. People were throwing joints to the SUPPORT band (Bap Kennedy and Energy Orchard). He played three hours and had to be hauled off stage.
