One of the deciding factors in me getting a Wii, along with having bought a Blu Ray player already and so kicked the main reason for getting a PS3 into touch, was the Wii Fit game. I saw this at friends'  while ago, and liked the idea of an interactive exercise routine, along with a progress charter, for the price of a good set of digital scales.
I'm still quite impressed after three days of playing with it. One side effect is that I've gone back to being obese - it's a bit out of scale with my home set of scales (£5.99 from Ikea) and currently has me at a shade over 30 on the old BMI thingy. Apart from that, though, I like the convenience of being able to keep track of what (if anything) I'm losing weight wise.
Despite the initial feel of breadth in the range of exercises, it seems to focus mostly on core stability as a measure of fitness. I approve of this - good balance and posture go a long way towards prevention of a lot of muscular and skeletal issues. I can't see it replacing my gym visits, but I like the stress on strecthes, yoga and balance.
My Wii age is all over the place - from +7 to -5 in three measurements, but I'm not too worried about that.

I'm quite glad that I went to this directly from a PS2 - the graphics don't seem particularly bad to me, since I'm not comprating them to a PS3 or an X-Box, and I like the idea that it's a different paradigm for consoles, based more around playability than pixel count.

And I'm enjoying Tomb Raider, too :)

All in all it's been a very relaxing weekend, and if I get to bed before 11 I'll call it a sucessful one in destressing.

I am looking forward to next weekend allready, though.
