Oh, and by the way, for anyone who's been upset enough by my recent posts on religion to defriend me, ttfn.

Whiskey tango foxtrot?

I have disagreements with a number of the folks on my FL. I tend not to unfriend - so far no one has done anything so heinous that I couldn't live with it (but maybe take it as a cautionary note as to how far I should trust that person in various capacities) but I don't unfriend over difference of opinion.

(Unfriending tends to lead to Drama. I would prefer not to have Drama, and it may be better for me to be aware of what the other person is doing than not. Of course, some folks may use unfriending as a tool to promote as much Drama as possible, but that's their problem, and their head is more in the Drama than that of their "victim", usually.)

Well I did a quick and clean defriend myself, but to be honest I'm a little pissed - I'd have expected some discussion first.

Quick and clean defriend in response to a defriending is an appropriate action. Original defriender caused any Defriending Drama by not explaining the action.

(The other thing is, if you really want to, you can create all the Defriending Drama in the explanation. I've heard tell of same, but haven't actually witnessed it.)
