Long roads which have no turning

It was a three hour drive to the cottage tonight, not helped by it taking 45 minutes to get out of Edinburgh. But I got here in time to find out that the cherry blossom is out, and came out to sit on the porch, with a long drink, some good music, and my friends on LJ. It's a long road. But I'll get there.

The length of the road never changes, it's just the number of twists it throws in along the way that can catch you out.

Deep breath, enjoy the night.

*hugs*

There can be something quite peaceful about those kinds of evenings - time to decompress.

Yup. It's good to know that I'll be sleeping in my own bed tonight.

I've just arrived in Glasgow - the third night this week that I've spent on a train. And the hotel turns out to be attached to that cafe on the Clyde where we shot the breeze before going off to Mull. It's a lovely hotel, with a great view of the river, and an iMac in every room.

Looking forward to the long drive :-)
