Today, when I am only going out for a meal and a movie, counts as the second quietest day I'll be having for a while. Yesterday was rugby at Murrayfield, Much Ado at the GFT. Tomorrow is the quietest, and I'm planning to get to bed before 10. Wednesday is a family birthday (a 65th, no less) followed by Mark Eitzel at Oran Mor. Thursday is the seasonal dialogue, in Edinburgh. Friday afternoon I'll be heading to the cottage with my brother, for a weekend of decorating and throwing out the everything. Sunday I pack. Monday to Friday I'll be working in Slough, (and hopefully having dinner with [livejournal.com profile] jen_c_won the Wednesday). Slough is not my favourite place in the world, but hell, I'm being paid to stay in reasonable hotels and eat on an expense account. Friday night I'll be seeing The Books of Mormon in London, and then Saturday I'll fly back up and relieve my glamorous flat and cat sitter, assuming that she hasn't decided she wants to be my lodger. With luck I'll persuade my employers that they don't need me on site 5 days a week, and I can go back to being a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday person (you can work out the acronym yourself), I'll be pushing for a hotel with a gym and pool (almost certainly the Copthorne) and trying to live a quiet, blameless life. Honestly. Would I lie? Oh, and it's my birthday the week after that.
