I managed to get onto Gmap Pedometer this morning, and the closest I could come to mapping out the route is here:

The map misses out on how lovely the scenery was on the way back, and how hilly. And also the twenty gates and four styles on the West Highland Way section...

I know I haven't mentioned The Project much, but I really am quite enjoying it. Apart from realising that consultants who can't speak or write very good English can still be crap, my favourite moment of the last week was when someone admitted that we're calling this a system rollout so that we can deny that it involves any degree of culture change. This is resulting in a completely baroque communications strategy, if I can dignify it with such a description. I'm refusing to volunteer to sort it out, since I already have a job...

I also had a meeting with the in-house training agency, where our business sponsor said he was totally behind using them so long as they were better, cheaper, and quicker than an outsourced option. I watched the hope drain from the optimistic new training co-ordinator, and my heart bled for her - I've sat in her seat before.
