I had seven and a half hours of blissful sleep last night (it would have been eight and a half, but, well, books). I have nothing planned for tonight, and that was my PLAN to have nothing planned. Ten minutes ago I found myself checking film listings at my local cinema.

But I'm not going to do that, am I? I'm going to go home, make up some pasta (or a prawn stir-fry) I'm going to watch TV, read, and go to bed. Tomorrow I may go to yoga if I get home before 7. So long as I get to bed by 10.

While going to bed earlier, I'm also, on a more modest scale, getting up earlier. 6.25 this morning, and I'll set my alarm for 6.15 tomorrow. If I do that, then I have time to either take the train to work or drive to the gym, both of which count as good things.

I have a night out planned on Thursday in Edinburgh, but I'll take the car, avoid drinking, and try to leave before 10. I've nothing in the diary for next weekend, so might go up to the cottage and do nothing there for a couple of days. Slow and steady...
