Gym update
Nov. 11th, 2005 01:16 pmIn all the excitement, I guess I forgot to keep y'all posted on my exercise regime (because I know you're just hanging on the edge of your seats out there).
This week,
Monday lunchtime, 30 minutes x-trainer, 2X5 minutes on the bike and still got back to work on time
Wednesday lunchtime, as above
Wednesday Night, timed things so I arrived just before the second half of the Celtic v Rangers match, warmed up on the bike and then 45 minutes (plus injury time) on the x-trainer nearest a TV screen. I was on my way down the pool afterwards when my yoga instructor spotted me passing and hauled me in for the last part of her class (I don't go on a Wednesday because that's the advanced class) which consisted of 30 blissful minutes of relaxation.
Thursday morning, the usual, Thursday night quite a quick session since I wanted to get back and do some writing, so only 15 minutes on the x-trainer.
The gym was quite busy this morning, so bike and 20 minutes. That left me time for a quick swim (I'm thinking of having a swim for my warm-down instead of 10 minutes on the bike). No sauna, since some numpty had forgotten to switch it on.
And that's about it for this week. No badminton, since I was away on Tuesday and watching football on Wednesday, so I'll try and make up for it next week.
I had my blood tested on Tuesday, and I've got a doctor's appointment on Monday to go through the results. My blood pressure was ok, though, and my weight is down since I was last weighed. Just a couple of kilos, but since I'm fairly sure I went up a fair bit before I joined the gym (curse you and your great weddings, Mr King) I'm not letting that worry me.
