First part week at work went well - I have a view of the program now, and a sneaking suspicion that the trouble spots won't be where my boss thinks they are. Still it's nice to see that the two of us can still work well together, and I think I'm going to enjoy it.
Friday night was a SMWS tasting at the Mackintosh School of Art withpsychochicken and unblinkered. The whiskies, to be honest, were good but not great. No real stars, except an old Longmorn, and I already have two unopened SMWS bottles. The catering was good, though, via Heart Buchannan, and the building was fantastic - I can't believe I've never been there before.
Off on Saturday to the cottage, and I disinterred the ancient ladies bike from the shed and walloped it with a hammer until some of the rust fell off and the back brake partially unsiezed, then watched a very braveunblinkered take it for a spin. We went four miles last night, and eight today. The reward was an excellent hamburger at the Cairnbaan Hotel and a bowl of water for Merlin. I'm not sure Merlin's up for the full 18 mile trip to Crinan and back anymore, but he seems to be fine after making it to the half way mark today.
