Work, work, Busy Busy....
Dec. 12th, 2005 04:45 pmHad a great day off last week, Thursday night and Friday spent in Edinburgh and the Kingdom of Fife in company with Frankie and the Tall One. Scotch Malt Whisky Society, driving to Crail in lieu of golf, fush and chups in, um, somewhere by the sea, and very careful driving.
Weekend blurred a little, since I'm still knackered, and involved probably too much wine.
The doctor was happy with my blood pressure for the first time ever - balanced on 135/80, which is apparently spot on for me. Of course, this was mostly achieved with medication, and the challenge is to come off that while maintaining the right level. Losing weight will be key. I can feel another month off the drink coming up, probably in January (this is something I do now and again, usually for lent and one other month. Not detoxing or worried about my consumption level, just a way of cutting calories).
Paid the price for pleasure today, though, by working hard to catch up.
I'm thoroughly fed up with my job at the moment, so changes may be afoot in the new year.
