I only had one in mind:
Take It With Me When I Go, by Tom Waits,
but,
Knocking on Heaven's Door, the Warren Zevon cover from his final album, when he was dying and he knew it,
Peace At Last, by The Blue Nile,
The Wild Moutain Thyme, by the Silencers
and
Sally Maclennane by The Pogues.
My epitaph, of course, will be: "Jesus, is that the time?"

Date: 2006-01-12 12:18 pm (UTC)I just chipped in some cash to have the gravestone on my paternal family's plot replaced. At last count my granda, granny, and two aunts were there, and, as my dad points out, next one in is the last there's space for (insert your own 'people are dying to get in' crack here). I think it's nice that it's there, but not for me. Maybe I can have it writ in water.
Anyway, I intend to live forever.
So, why no epitaph for you?
