There was a time when I could have friends round, talk to midnight, sleep for four hours, get up, drive to Edinburgh airport, drive back to Glasgow by 6 a.m., do some emailing, walk the dog, play a round of golf, have lunch, arrange a job interview, get home and be ready for an evening of party party...

But those days are not these days....
