I'm pretty crap at gratitude. Mostly, I think, because I'm pretty crap at receiving stuff. I'm great at giving it (ladies, you can draw your own conclusions) but I hate asking for help, and getting it makes me feel like a failure for needing it. This can be problematic in a lot of ways.
But I want to say hear and now how grateful I am that Kay and James are letting me stay in their place in Edinburgh. For the first time in three weeks, I can say not that I'm feeling pretty much ok, but that I'm starting to feel better. And a lot of that, though not all, is because I know where I'll be laying my head for the next couple of weeks. That feels very good. I hadn't realised how much the stress of moving from place to place was getting to me.
So thank you Kay, and thank you James. I appreciate it.
(Now maybe I should tell them).
