Accidental Weekends
Jan. 26th, 2013 01:22 pmBy now I should have finished putting on the second coat of paint at the cottage. However, the words "Three feet of drifting snow on The Rest And Be Thankful" kept me in Glasgow, thank goodness. So I had a quiet night in and watched The Bourne Ultimatum, and had a curry. I then wandered off down Byres Road for a nightcap at the Chip, since otherwise I'd have been in the house all day.
This morning I had a long lie, and then walked down along the Kelvin to pick up my bike, which had been in Gear to get a new hub. For the last hour or so I've been taking up a table at Offshore, writing some words and enjoying their lattee (which is not as good as Artisan Roast's, but is still pretty decent).
I'm about to have a look on the Celtic Connections web site to see if there are any tickets left for anything I might want to see. Failing that, it's off to see Django Unchained at the Grosvenor tonight, I think.
I'm not used to unplanned weekends, but I'm not complaining about this one so far.
