Getting Stuff Done
Mar. 3rd, 2013 03:24 pmWent to the cottage with my brother this weekend, and we (well, mostly he) repainted the lounge and the kitchen and put the two bedrooms and the lounge back together. His appetite for work really amazes me - we were up at 7.30 both mornings, and finished and ready to roll by 12 today.
I think the place is starting to look lovely, and want to spend a lot of time there this year.
I also want to spend a lot of time in Edinburgh, and Glasgow, but that might not happen immediately. I'm off to Slough tomorrow, and will be in London for a week (including Wednesday night visiting Jen and Friday night, when I'm off to see The Book Of Mormon) and back to Glasgow on Saturday afternoon.
So this afternoon I need to pack, enough for five working days, two nights out, and for the gym and sauna too. As well as taking my work laptop and power cables, my MBA, the iPad, more cables, headphones, a week's worth of medicine and what the hell am I going to pack it all in? The plan at the moment calls for the big leather flight bag and the larger of my two carry-ons, which I'm going to check in. Much more than that, and travelling around London is not going to be fun.
Whatever, I'm a very bouncy, if very tired, Michael just now, so I will bounce off and make the most of it.
More to come...
