Work, mostly.

A big deal, brought to a successful conclusion, with some jobs made safe and some more created somewhere that can do with them. Can't say too much, as it's still embargoed.

Unfortunately that's had a bit of an impact on 50/50, with no dietary progress and only two gym visits this week. Never mind, there will be setbacks, and I was off to the gym this morning, so I'll make it up.

I now have three nights out on the next three Fridays - Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and then it will be Christmas. I don't think I'm going to go away this year, and may actually spend New Year in Edinburgh, for the first time ever.

And I'm thinking some Birthday thoughts - too early to be sure, but it may be Birthday 5-0 for me.

I'm now heading into town, and I think the rest of today will have lots of thoughts about the Clutha Vaults, and how glad I am that I wasn't there last night, or drinking next door with my Uncle Jim.

I am all kinds of glad you weren't either - I have to admit that was one of my first thoughts when I heard about Clutha Vaults, despite knowing how big a city Glasgow is. My thoughts have been with everyone up there - an event like that, so totally unexpected and random, leaves so much shock and grief. There's a lot of horrible things happening at the moment.

It was a helluva thing. I've been drinking there, my Uncle drinks next door, I have a friend around the corner. At a time like this, Glasgow is a very small town.
