That's all very nice, Mr Warm Fuzzy Dave, but where's the proposed legislation to back it up? Exactly - there isn't any, because well-being is a subjective (possibly even meaningless) term, and you can't legislate for it.

Oh, quite a while, I would think - I can't see that it's immediately advantageous to anyone in his won party to deliberately destabilise him now. Much more likely that he'll get portrayed as another Boris Johnstone - he won't get anything done, but he'll do it in an entertaining way.

I loved his "Now shome (soory, some) people on the Right might disagree with me about this..." Look at me, I'm bold, modernising, not like those boring old farts who tried to get elected last year.

He's great from a PR point of view (young, charismatic, interesting, and a good speaker) but there's no meat to any of his pretences at being something other than Old-School Tory.
