Getting there...
Feb. 20th, 2008 11:02 amI'm two weeks into the Lenten thing, and I've lost six pounds. It's almost entirely about exercise - if I exercise once a day I lose weight. If I don't, I don't.
Yesterday I ran for about 15 minutes, and played badminton for two hours. My legs were sore from Monday's run before I started, and last night I was hobbling. All of the pain was in my thighs, which made sitting down and standing up a bit problematic. All fine this morning, though, and I'll head to the gym at lunchtime. Actually, I think I'll run to the gym at the Kelvin Hall, and run back. Wait a minute, it's all uphill from there - I'll walk back! Next week (or the week after) I'll bring my bike down from the cottage, and cycle to the gym at Woodside.
Job-hunting is going slowly, but it's going. I'm casting CVs out on the water, and we'll see what comes back.
I'm a bit pissed off that there seems to be 100% cloud cover outside - I'd been looking forward to the lunar eclipse tonight.
And I've a football match to watch tonight, if I can decide which pub to see it in. With apologies to
pshtaku, don't you hate it when your team gets drawn against Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League again?
