Movies For Men Who Like Movies For Men

Just back from a proper boys day out with Mikey. We drove up to Cruachan, to take the tour inside "the hollow mountain" and look at the incredibly huge turbine hall 2/3 of a mile inside the mountain, then visited our old dive shop at Gallanch via a very good chippy at Oban.

Now we're back at the cottage, and we've started watching "A Fistful of Dollars", in the knowledge that unblinkered is bringing up the DVD of "300" tonight.

Which made me wonder what else would be on the bill for an evening of movies for men who like movies for men.

So far we have "Point Blank" and "Get Carter". I've disqualified "Die Hard" on the grounds that Bruce Willis makes jokes.

Any other suggestions?

ETA: We're now watching a "Top Gear Challenges" DVD....

Soooo close to a clean sweep, caller. But no, we must disqualify Deliverance, just as we would The Shawshank Redemption and Midnight Express, for THAT scene. Sowee.

(And I'm just ignoring the nonsense about nuns and nazis. That's another type of film altogether).

Charlton bloody Heston should be taken out and tied naked to a stake somewhere in the west coast of Scotland and left to his fate at the teeth of the midges.....he is evil personified.

On second thoughts he can have a loin cloth to protect us all from embarrassment!!

Oh, I know he's evil incarnate: I did see Bowling for Columbine after all. But if I take him out, I have to take out Ronald Regan, and we lose "The Killers".
