This time I'll stop watching Braveheart before the end...

of course, on reflection, I realise that a Scot might find it traumatising in a totally different fashion.

*chuckle*
When I saw the movie for the first time, I just jumped out of my seat at the end and shouted "Freedom!".

Pity I was in Newcastle at the time...

LOL

Hopefully everyone was out of popcorn at that point in time?

One would think, however, that it would be possible to find a nice, brawny Scot to play a nice brawny Scot, and not have to import long-haired nutters with pretty eyes.

Don't be fooled, though. I'm a sap, and aside from the sheer horror of the ending, was quite moved by Braveheart. Then again, Liam Neeson in a kilt did good things for me too. Ok, I'm a sap, and easy. :D

Agreed on Liam Neeson. I liked Rob Roy much better. I know he's not Scottish either, but he's huge, gorgeous, and most critically, can act.
