I downloaded some new apps for the iPhone to play with. Shazam is a bit of techno-mancy that lets you find out the name of any music track by holding your iphone up to the radio. Very impressive.
SnapTell lets you photograph items like books and DVDs and get instant pricing and reviews - slightly less impressive, because it only works with products on sale in the US just now, but something which might be very useful when they widen their database.
Trailguru seems to be the pick of the bunch. A free app for tracking your walks, runs, bike rides or even drives, I suppose, and automatically uploading them to the web.
I downloaded it for use in geocaching, but it's a lot of fun, and will be useful when I start biking again next year. I even used it to map Merlin's short walk from this morning.
