'Tis the Season to Be Merry!

f4f3Two nights out so far - Thursday my agency took me and 8 others out to the Corinthian, and a good time was had by all. The food was pretty good for a place that apparently was feeding 700 people that night, and although the main bar was a bit raucous the piano bar had a mellow feel, and the Manhattans were fine. Finished with champagne around midnight, and a taxi home.
Last night was The Alternative Murray Curry. Since I'll miss my old employers Christmas lunch (well, the strictly non-corporate finance buffet, to be exact) a half dozen of us went to the same restaurant in the wilds of East Kilbride. It was a very good night - three of the folk are still SAIC'ers, the rest of us not, and it was great to catch up.
Today I had a long lie (finally!) then ventured briefly into town, which was waaay to busy to be enjoyable. I've started my shopping now, and should be able to finish it on Tuesday and early Thursday.
Highlight of the shopping was Felix and Oscar's, where they have baby romper suits with "Creatures of the Night" on the front. Pity the twins are too old.
Tonight unblinkered is off for her first professional photographer gig, and I'm staying in to chill. Tomorrow is drinks in Edinburgh, Monday a friend is coming to dinner, Thursday Martin Stephenson, Saturday party-party and Sunday off to Germany for a week.
It's all going to be over far too quickly...
