Stuff and things

f4f3Life is going through one of its hectic phases. Not unpleasant, but definitely sliding towards chaotic.
For one thing, it looks like we're going to be out of Glasgow every weekend in May - the weekend I was leaving free has just been placed under threat. A friend has invited us up to Kintyre to watch the yacht racing from his boat. Yes, I know, my heart bleeds for me too. But we'll also be away the first weekend in June, and two or three in July. And then I'm planning to take three weeks off in August. The year just seems to be disapearing at a scary rate.
I'm also planning to go through to Edinburgh tomorrow night to look at some bikes. One of the weekends away (the first in June) will be to cycle to the cottage, and I don't fancy doing that on my old mountain bike.
Sometime I July I have to decide what to do about my car. The lease runs out in August, so either I finance a replacement, finance a loan for it, bring unblinkered's car back from Ireland or put K's old Polo back on the road.
One of the cheaper options appeals, since my contract is only certain up until the last quarter of this year, and who knows how hard it will be to get another?
Somewhere amongst all this I need to sit down and do some thinking, probably of the solitary variety, and I've forgotten to schedule any time for that.
