Six Weird things before lunch - I've been tagged

Once you're tagged you have to write a blog with six weird things/habits about yourself. Then you must choose six people to tag. You have to leave a comment for each telling them to read this blog and do this same thing... (I won't chain blog, but if any friend wants to pick up, feel free...)

1. I read comic books. On public transport. And I don't care (had great fun reading an avengers reprint book on my flight last night, and catching up on all that beautiful Rich Buckler and Barry Smith art)

2. Once I've addressed the ball, and just before I start my backswing, I tilt my wrists, closing the clubface and making it almost impossible to hit the ball properly. It cost me £20 to have the pro point that out to me.

3. I add ice to malt whisky on planes and in airport lounges, and nowhere else.

4. I have no urge to post pictures of my cat on my LiveJournal

5. I'm not afraid of intelligent women (I didn't think this was weird, but I was told yesterday that it is)

6. I support Partick Thistle

Well, I thank you :) But in your defence, I should point out that so do you ... it's just easier for you to see it when your self-esteem is high (which it hasn't always been).

You is teh hottness, mentally as well as physically. One you realise that, the world will be your oyster :)

*blush* Thank you. I know that people find me attractive (mentally and physically, occasionally even both!) but I always seem to end up with blokes that are, on some level at least, intimidated by me. And in the case of my last relationship, that caused things to implode to the point where the Bloke pretty much actively tried to take me down a peg or two. I'm pretty sure he didn't realise he was doing it, but it still screwed with my self esteem as we both know. I just need to figure out a way to meet men that think a creative brain = teh hottness. I mean, a large proportion of our flists seem to be in that category, but they're all taken dammit!

LJ is the way forward, I reckon. You're only a creative brain on LJ; all else is out of the window (oh sure, they may pretend to be nubile 17-year-olds, but we know they're really all 50-year-old truck drivers from Birmingham). Of course, this does mean that you may fall in love with said 50-year-old truck driver, but hey, those are the breaks ;)

I'm reminded for some reason of the old Marshall Law line:

"I'm a hero hunter. I hunt heroes. I haven't found any yet."

And on a more serious note... you do have a point - it would seem that "intelligence" is an expected, or at least a valued, quality in men, but not in women.

Actually, I'm not even sure of that - I'm a lot more afraid of gorgeous women (surely a valued quality?) than I am of intelligent ones (although in the case of my f-list here, I've just had to take the gorgeousness along with the intelligence, like it or not...).

The only weird thing here is Partick - although they have the most sensible wages policy of any football team I have ever heard of. It is a shame it means everyone else buys the best players. (I'll admit; I have no idea how Partick are doing.)

Our HR Director is a Partick fan. Every so often he arranges for large groups of people to be entertained at Partick home games. Strangely, no one mentions the football.
