Virtuous and Viscious Circles
Sep. 22nd, 2005 07:52 amI used to work with a business guru (he didn't call himself that, Channel 4 called him that) called Charles Hampden Turner.
Chas's big bit was "Virtuous and Viscious Circles" (I tried to get him to go for Viscous circles, but he told me I was being an arse).
Anyway.
I've been feeling a bit tired during the day, and reading for less than an hour at night, which is, obviously, a bad thing.
So I started playing badminton again about two weeks ago, and, through luck and the sychronicity freeway, I'm now playing three times a week.
The last two nights I've started pushing myself to play as well as I used to (when I was 25 and played for a couple of teams, and was about 3 stone lighter). I'm so far short of that it's funny, but I really enjoyed my games, so I pushed harder, and I really enjoyed my games, so I pushed harder...
I just noticed that when I got into work this morning at 7.30 I was whistling away like a wee linty. I've got much more energy, I'm a bit more limber, I read for an hour last night and still jumped up this morning. I think I've hit on something here...
