Just in case you want to know, Ladies, this year the average male gym-goer is wearing his hair thick, black and matted, mostly on the back but in some cases covering the entire body...

This explains why "Locker-cams" are not a problem I have to worry about...

Dreads would be the way to go, require very little maintenance after the initial work. Might ruin the way a shirt hangs though.

That's not necessarily a problem, since the look is running vests (with optional nano strapped to one bicep) to show off maximum acerage of matted hair.
