I have a vague feeling that I should be blogging about the world, so, The World, summarised:

1. Obama doubleplusgood.
2. Prop 8 bad, but ultimately irrelevant (c.f. Canute, KKK, John Major)
3. Bank of England record rate cut good, so long as it isn't seen as a panic move and that it does get passed on to the carriage trade.
4. Fixed rate mortgages looking a bit Bad.
5. Glenrothes win for Labour Good, even if it does mean that The Kingdom of Fife will be the first country to make a Unilateral Declaration of Independence for an independent Scotland.

Have I missed anything?

Yes; yes; OMGWTF 3%??? You lucky, lucky bastards! We've ranged between 17.5% and about 5%, but the lowest consumer mortgage rate available to the masses that I've seen in my lifetime has been about 6% which is roughly where it's at at the moment (waiting to see if the banks will actually pass on the latest RBA cut). Where was I? oh yeah; urgh; huh?
